That night would be embedded in the deep recesses of her mind forever. The night she was
taken. The night she was told he had no further use of her, that a slave had captured his attentions
and she was traded like nothing more then mere property. Yes, every word would be remembered
like it was seared into flesh and every emotion that had consumed her locked away in the very
core of her being. There would be no forgetting.
It was a dark and relentless night, there was an eerie chill in the air. Brin hadn't been back to
the cabin since before the rise of lar torvis and she had gone to the ship in search of him. Much to
her surprise the ship was bustling with life, being readied for a voyage it seemed. He hadn't told her
they were leaving. She heard Ren, his first mate, barking out orders and it was he she was heading
to when Darius intercepted her.
He told her that Brin was in town finishing up business and he was to take her to him. Where
he and two others ended up taking her was a ship that was heading to Schendi. She was ultimately
taken to a hunting cabin where it was Darius' intention to break her and have her serve him as
a slave. After weeks upon weeks of daily brutal torment the man was careless one night and that
night would cost him his life. She wasn't a woman to be careless around. She stood and watched
until the last drop of blood left his body and she tuned from that cabin never to return
Her days now spent in the jungles of Schendi, it seemed almost that her life had come full circle.
She returned to a solitary existance. The life of an "outlaw" most would say. She kept to herself
her only company was the memories and questions that haunted her.
