Non-stop was the only word that described the inner motor of the Sleen of Cos, Brinlar Sevarii. Once those from Silenti were aboard and thier wounds tended, only then did he pause in his doings to allow TaSheera to set his own wounds to right. In the interim, Brinlar had sent the bandaged Mateo with 4 guards from Silenti to forage for base supplies, such as dried fruits and jerky, as well as small kegs of water, sufficient for at least 4 hands worth for the expedition.
Thurnock was given the task of making the Folly ready for the voyage. Sent to procure new oars from Gitambi, Brinlar giving the massive carpenter free reign to deal with the shipwright in whatever manner he saw fit, as time is of essence. Brinlar himself, once delegating tasks to those best suited to perform them, takes Arculeius aside and converses with him in low tones.
" I already desire to meet this Krakatoa face to face, my Schendian friend. His minions fell before my steel, but now it thirsts for his blood as well.
Grinning that grin of his, uncommon silver-grays glittering, still relishing the thrill of the unexpected battle.
"Hopefully soon Arculeius..hopefully soon"
With that..Brinlar heads below with orders not to be disturbed unless it is an emergency, TaSheera noting his departure and following shortly after.
Thurnock, preparing to head off to visit Gitambi, sees the "humble merchant" on the pier below with his kajiira and beckons him aboard, informing him.
"Cap'n ain't here right now...but..I'm sure he will wanna speak to you when he returns, so...make yerself at home, aye?"
Turning to TaSheera once they are secluded in thier cabin, Brinlar, a weariness shown ih his normally bright eyes, mutters:
"If Amanita is not retrieved, along with whatever she possesses to guide them, that which the sleen Krakatoa desires so badly, then the quest for the Eye will be short-lived indeed............"
