The Sleen of Cos, Brinlar, tells his woman, Tasheera, about Nyoka
::she had gone for her usual morning run, she had already eaten and she found herself growing restless. Curve of hip eased to a lean against the table, arms folded loosely and casually at about her wasit her gaze was trained out the window, not focused on anything in particular and her thoughts drifted. So much had happened over the last few days, how dramatically things can change in the beat of a heart.
~ his tred light for one of his size, faintly echoing as he ascends the stairs to the 2nd floor and the chambers he shares with TaSheera. Kings..it still causes incredulity when he thinks of how they found each other once again. A wry smile graces his handsome features as his booted feet traverse the corridor leading to thier chambers, Kings...she could have shot him....but something caused her aim to waver..and he will not complain to thecontrary. Reaching his chamber doors, he unlatches it, pushes it open and steps inside, closing it quietly behind him. Finding her sitting by the window, he murmurs quietly~ Tal, Sheera of the forests...
::the sound of the latch drew her instantly from her thoughts and though she didn't turn to it immediately her fingers slowly eased to a coil around the hilt of her dagger, the dagger he had gifted her with. She was caught off guard once, man or beast would be hard pressed to do that a second time. The baritone of his voice had her hand drift back away and she turned. A smile offered him, one reserved for him alone::.. Tal my Pirate..::she pushed from the lean against the table, that confident stride closed the distance between them with ease. An icy gaze offered up to him::.. I hope you have brought news. ..::Impermeable depths of blue betrayed little, but perhaps something in her voice spoke of her restlessness in the Inn::..
~ moving fluidly, akin to a jungle panther's innate feral grace,a curl of a corded arm round her supple waist leaning to feather a caress of lips against the corner of her mouth. Aye..I have, my love. I am returned from House Silenti, and have met the merchant woman leading this foray into the jungles. Amanita Vernia..~ silver-gray orbs flicker for a brief ihn, then he continues~ We came to an....agreement....if it can be called that.~ he chuckles deeply eyes sparking beneath mocha-hued brows as his eyes find hers~ It seems she did not trust me..moreso after I revealed I am not Lugo of Bazi, But the Sleen of Cos....
::as her body was guided against his her hands came to rest flat palmed along his chest. After the shared embrace of flesh to flesh her eyes began to drift slowly between his as he spoke of his meeting, it was indeed a studious gaze. One hand traveled up along the broad expanse of his chest as they spoke, a turn of her hand at his shoulder allowed for the light brush of fingertips along the back of his neck. A light laugh was allowed passed the sentry of lips hearing that, but it did raise a few questions of her own::.. A woman? ..::the tone of her voice might have been surprising, considering who she was, but the fact of the matter was she found women in general, especially those of the cities to be rather weak::.. What's to say you can trust her?
~ the grin that appears after her query reveals perfect teeth, white and even, and he continues his telling of the meeting with Amanita~ She agrees to contract terms with me and mine..for a fifth of the treasure once it is aquired. I..in turn..swore an oath on the Quietus to not betray her after the fact. ~ a shrug of his broad shoulders~ It seems they think all pirates are scum..the concept of one having honor by his word alien to thier perception of Thassan Raiders. ~ smiling as he stares down at her, pressing her just a tad closer to his chiseled physique~ We have to procure a river galley, the expidition is set to leave in one hands time. Now....~ he frowns briefly~ I have to find Renn, Thurnock and Mateo and inform them of our plans. ~ A cant of his head as he eyes her and murmurs~ You...have not seen Renn..have you?
::a finely sculpted brow arched slowly, albeit subtly, as she listened...the woman didn't know Brin but she did and she knew what that meant. She didn't bother to ask what oath the woman swore too, that would have mattered little to her anyway, instead she asked. Did you find out how many were in their party and what it consisted of? ..::perhaps she asked to know how many there would be to 'protect" on this voyage and perhaps she simply wanted to calculate the "odds" they'd be up against should this deal go bad. As he pulled her form closer, both hands now joined in a lacing of fingers at the back of his neck, a ghost of a grin threatened as he eyed her::.. No, thought perhaps we could meet up with Renn today..::considering the circumstances she thought it best they do that together::..
~ of course since thier reunion, they have not berenintimate, so her closeness is a bit distracting, but he ignores the stirrings she illicits and continues~ It does not matter how many others she has enlisted,I gave my oath on the Quietus and Renn, Mateo and Thurnock will adhere to it as well...and..~ he smiles, knowing her all to well~ So will you, Sheera. Now....have you eaten? Are you ready to go with me to find Renn and then to the shipyardsof Gatambi to aquire the river galley that is needed to sail up the Nyoka?
::he did know her well didn't he? and she grunted lightly, honor she had ...her own ...abide by his word she would right up until someone she cared about was in jeopardy...then all bets were off....she surely didn't say this but it might have been evident in the slow roll back of her shoulder and the smooth transition to his questions::.. yes, I've eaten and I am more then ready to get out of here
~he nods and dips his head, pecking her on the nose..kings if he kisses her the way he feels at the moment, they might never leave thier chambers~ Good...then let us go..I'm sure it will take some time to find Renn... ~ for all he knows his 1st mate is sequestered in some slave alcove with a round kajiira~
::she breathed in the intensity that surrounded him like a distinct scent, it brought a slow grin to lips as his lips touched down on her nose. There would be no resisting the altogether subtle rock of hips delivered against him just before their bodies parted. She was looking forward to seeing Renn, and Thurnock, but she wanted to thank Renn for his faith in her::.. I suppose we'll be looking first in the closest tavern..::a soft laugh drifted past lips as she headed towards the door, a single glance cast over her shoulder and back to him accompanied by that tell tale grin::
~ he grins and playfully swats at her rear as she teasingly moves away, his stride closing the distance tween the two the entryway reached an ihn after she opens it, and together, they head into the corridor and to the stairs, descending to the main level, then, out into the fetid sweltering oppressive heat of the Schendian afternoon. Most of the city at this ahn conduct little buisness, preferring the early morn or once la-torvis has settled past the horizon of gleaming Thassa~
::she fell into step beside him, how right it all seemed to be...her gaze lifted to the heated rays of lar torvis as they stepped out into the day her hand brushed against his lightly as arms swayed between them, her gaze turned up to him once as they traveled and lingered along his profile....the city and it's inhabitants seemed to slip away when she was with him, but that feeling in her gut lingered on occasion as it usually did when she was within city walls::
