House Abla
.....The recent death of Qualius Aurora, the founder of the House, has shocked it to the foundations. One of the largest Houses within the League of Black Slaver's, this put the city's eye on the House. Though with the recent return of his daughter, Lady Gwnn Aurora, things have slowly calmed and began to fall back in order. Along with her return is the fleet with her holds filled with hundreds of women and goods from varies parts of Gor. Soon the process of preparing and arrangement to ship the women overland to market them begins along with fitting the river galleys to ship trading goods to the south along the Kamba and the Nyoka River's. House Abla has always had a strong relationship with many of the native tribes, especially with Bila Humuna himself.
.....Normally Lady Gwnn would oversee the shipment overland and lead it's progress throughout the lands. This season she must in trust others of the House with that has she most oversee personally the yearly shipment down the Nyoka River. It goes without saying the importance of keeping in good grace with the legendary Bila Humuna.
....Tiberus, her right hand man, over sees the preparations. All ready six river galleys have been refitted for the journey - armed and its holds filled with trading goods, such as, varies liquors from around Gor, spices and hides, animals like verr, not to mention a hundred women in chains.
.....Each river galley is fitted with ballast in the hold of sand, armory's filled with blades and lances, fire pins to kindle for dipping of arrows, oil kettles, for filling the globes with flaming oil, to be cast in looping trajectories from the light catapult, sheafs of arrows for the bowmen, each sheaf containing fifty arrows. On each ship there is a great wooden, iron-shod ram, which protruded, in part, from the water. Over the starboard rail, a curved shearing blade, fixed in the side of the vessel. Its mate, anchored, too, in the strakes, forward of the oars, reposed on the port side. These blades were seven feet in height, like convex moons of iron. It is said that such blade, were an invention of Tersites, a shipwright of Port Kar.
.....Two more river galleys are also fitted to sail only these would be loaded lightly with cargo as not to weigh them down for speed. It is these two on which Lady Gwnn intends to speed along the Nyoka River to reach Lake Ushindi ahead of the shipment to speak with Bila Humuna. Also to catch another ship for a passenger on board, the mysterious Thaddaus. She, however, has her own plans which is the drive behind her haste. Rumors of an expedition possibly tied to the attack and burning of House Silenti is on the streets. Not to mention that the Sleen of Cos, himself, has set sail down the Nyoka River. It is her hopes to discover what exactly is going on. Why? For one House Silenti has been vacant for a long time and the sudden activity there and the rumors spoke of a mystery.
