Let me be the first to invite you into our Gorean Storyline. Eye of Nyoka was created to bring a variety of inveterate characters into a dramatic setting for internal and external exploration. We want to create an environment for the ambitious to flaunt their talents, a stage to highlight our characters and a zero tolerance level for non-role-play related distractions. This Storyline is open to all who are willing to accept the challenge and put forth the effort.
We insist on the following...
Writing is essential.[/i] A post minimum of two bars per chatroom per turn is expected. Be ready to describe... your character, environment, movement, emotion, reaction, etc. The quality of writing is just as important as length so make your words count. Writing too much stifles the movement so keep it in the middle. This is a Turn-based Storyline so be considerate of those waiting to post.
Don't cross the line. [/i]What goes on In Character stays with the characters, not the players and vice versa. Make certain that your character has an explanation for how and why they've learned the information that they have. The message board will be filled with information, but remember your character will not have access to it.
Commit yourself. [/i]If you're not serious about this Storyline and the time needed to 'delve' into it then don't waste our time. Each character will be woven into the text of the story the same as a novel, sudden disappearances will leave gaps and unless there are uncontrollable circumstances the characters will then be presumed dead by those in the Storyline so they can move on.
Respect, give and receive. [/i]Keep Out of Character chatter to a minimum during role-play. The focus should always be the role-play. This is a Gorean based storyline so attempt to be accurate to the books. Do not get upset if someone messages you with advise and don't be afraid to ask. We are here to learn as well as teach. Never mode another character's actions, even a slave, give them a chance to react before you assume how they will behave. No death will be forced unless approved by the Player of that character, though NPCs do not require consent. We are an anti-dice Storyline, so keep it realistic and use your best judgment to decide damage. No one will step in to tell you how to play your character. Players who can't compromise will be asked to leave.
No misguided drama. [/i]Remember this is a game so the only drama should be In Character. Understand what happens to your character isn't happening to you. We are here to enjoy ourselves, not get upset. This isn't a political war zone. This isn't a place to 'hook up' with singles. This is a GAME, period. Out of Character arguments should not reflect upon In Character play. Handle them as such or find the door. If you don't like another Player in this Storyline, keep it to yourself.

GUESTS
Players involved in the Eye of Nyoka Storyline are welcome to interact with anyone outside the Storyline. If Role-players not involved in the Storyline wish to participate they will be considered Guests and expected to follow the rules above. Lurking is allowed. We encourage it and will keep most of the role-play in public rooms, though Guest will need to be able to adapt to the scene in progress if they wish to interact.
MESSAGE BOARD
Involvement in this Storyline requires participation on the Message Board. While we are a role-play storyline, we are also here to share our stories with one another. There isn't a required number of post per week, but more you share with us, the better we can all see the complete story.
PROFILES
Please include the Eye of Nyoka webpage in your profile.
We reserve the right to remove your character from the Storyline if any of the above rules are not followed.
