TEXT Having arrived in the Port of Schendi on the Quietus with the ships Captain Brinlar and crew, he had spent several hands moons making tireless repairs to the medium ram at the direction of the Shipwright, Gitana. Replacing and repairing the hulls wood and remaking railings fit for the vessel had consumed a good of his time and energy. All in a nights work it would seem for him, a thing he found not only to be a mode of employ but and enjoyable way to effect his creativity and exercise.
A rather huge man, some might think, in looking at him of 67 horts in heights and a weight of 90 stone with fairly short black hair and gray blue eyes. Not a particularly handsome fellow yet a quiet and easy going nature. He has a good sense of humor and sometimes finds the ships captain rather overbearing, outspoken and brash, taking the opportunity to poke fun in a respectful manner for men of the sea.
Thurnock had stood not far from the Captain Brinlar as the ships damage was assesed. Yes, indeed, it might have been worse, but it came to his mind that as much work as had to be done the ship would be good as new when the work was complete.
The wood brought and stacked not far from the ships mooring, the metal for the railing stren about, Thurnock seemed in his element. The large mans sweat covered body could be seen as he brought the wood up on his massives shoulders and carried the planks in stacks. What should be lifted by two or three men was easily done by him.
When not working he could often be found with a fishing pole in one hand, a kajiira in the other.
